The process of building a concrete pool shell from A to Z. Episode #4. We'll walk through the construction stages and the progress of the work. We'll use the new pool we're building at the SOBI Country Club as an example.

The fourth stage is installing the formwork and pouring the pool shell. After the shell formwork is installed, it's braced to ensure the walls are level. When pouring the shell, it's important to keep a slight gap between pouring the shell to prevent the concrete from being squeezed into the bottom. The bottom is poured first. Then, once the concrete has set, the walls are poured. This gap should not exceed 24 hours, otherwise, cold joints will appear.

Important: If the gap between pouring the bottom and walls is more than 24 hours, a bentonite cord must be used.
